L-R: Eddie Bell, David Parrish, Durga, Warwick Bailey and Adrian Bourne.

Born in Somerset in 1937. Moved to Sussex in 1947 and educated at Eastbourne Grammer School followed by Tunbridge Wells Technical College. Two years National Service in the RAF, mostly based in Melbourne, Australia. Spent quite a lot of it playing cricket!!!!!

Joined Hodders Advertisimg Dept in 1959 and then transferred to Export in 1960. First overseas trip to Paris late 1960 and then travelled a few other places over the next 25 years.

Hodders decided I was past it in 1991 and I was put out to grass. But shortly afterwards had a call from Bob Jackson, who had joined Gardners Books and who suggested I might be able to help develop some overseas business. Had a fabulous 11 years with them until retiring in 2002.

Made lots of friends all over the world and that certainly includes a number of Old Lags going back to when we were European reps together.
