1968 - Penguin Export Division. Worked with Mike Hogben and Ian Savage. Travelled Middle East.

1973 - Transworld Export Mgr Europe & Middle East. Worked with Roy Kibby, Philip Flamanc, and Pat Newman.

1978 - Sphere Books Export Manager and later UK & Export Sales Director. Worked with Edmund Fisher, Tim Wilton Steer, a youthful Dave Parrish and a notorious Tony Kennedy. Also,met Chris Owen and Paul Walton for the first time!

1983 - Macdonald - Appointed Export Director by Tim Hely-Hutchinson but got promoted to UK & Export Sales & Marketing Director before I started. It's a strange world! Worked with Julian Ashton (I think), Dave Parrish (I also think) and Robert Maxwell (I know for certain).

1988 - Started Little, Brown in the UK.

1991 - Got fired at the Hessicher Hof in Frankfurt.

1992 - Started Melia Publishing Services Ltd

2011 - Knackered!
